MercurySteam, the studio known for American McGee's Scrapland and the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow trilogy, has updated their website with a countdown to their next game.

Previously, the site just showed a man in a spaceship with the following text:
"Exploring new worlds, fighting strange creatures, discovering new heroes. Expect news soon."
Also, today, they revealed a piece of concept art for this new game on their Facebook.

I'm ready for another disappointment again

I sure hope they revert back to the classic or metroidvania-style of gameplay again after this trilogy

This is not a Castlevania game. This is something new, it looks like.

So, IGN has found that the file name for a piece of concept art is "Mecha Inside", which caused them to think this could be a mech game.

However, I found their Instagram, which has a piece of concept art for the game that may suggest that you'll be able to get inside a mech and control it. And, yes, this appears to be of the same character in the mech concept art.
