Hi guys, it's me again. After E3 happened, some of you *COUGH*alphared*COUGH* kind of got mad about what happened with Smash. If you don't know what happened, I'll give you a quick rundown.
*clears throat*
Smash Bros.
Namco Developing
Klonoa at top of wanted list
E3 2013
Gematsu Leak
Pac-man on gematasu leak
Came here
Showed off Geninja trailer hint
E3 2014
Pac-Man and Mii are confirmed, thus confirming the Gematsu leak
So, a lot of people are closing their books on wanting Klonoa in Smash Bros., but I have come up with a theory that has a .001 percent chance of being true (hence the name.)
So, what is this theory you ask?
I'm going to say it right now, Klonoa will be a playable character in Smash bros. for 3DS and Wii U, but he will be the last character you unlock.
First off, even though Pac-Man is the game (which I'm actually happy with), there is still that subtle outline in the geninja trailer.

http://smashboards.com/threads/klonoa-for-ssb4-wahoo-congrats-to-pac-man-on-becoming-the-namco-rep.337993/page-2Another thing I would like to throw out is that the factor that Klonoa has a bit in common with Masahiro Sakurai's very own Kirby. Klonoa is basically Namco's Kirby is a way, their games are considered easy be some people, they have similar Japanese titles, they center around Dreams in a way, they are both puzzle platformers, etc. To have someone bear a lot of similar things with someone made my Sakurai, the creator of Super Smash Bros. says a little bit.
My next point supporting this theory, is that while some of you in the comments are going to say "Luigi, Marth and Lucario are unlockables! they were in brawl as such!"
Actually, now that I think about it, maybe Lucario, Marth and MABYE Luigi are all available right out of the box! And another thing, anybody remember at the end of Pac-Man's trailer where Mr. Game and Watch appeared, and after the roundtable, he didn't appear on the website? Why is that? Simple. He is an unlockable character. And why hasn't Sakurai reveled Ness, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Falco, Ganondorf, etc.? Because they are unlockable characters.
This brings us to Klonoa, because of the Geninja hint, and the possibility that Sakurai possibly knows of his existence. This leads me to my final point, but before we get to that, I have to address 2 things people have been throwing at me.
1) Klonoa is an assist trophy/trophy.
Okay, this is an easy one. I say, would Sakurai REALLY make a subtle hint to something as little as assist trophy? Think about THAT for 5 minutes.
2) They Reveil the big third party characters at E3/Pac-man stole Klonoa's slot!
That's a good point. Here's my take on it, They reviled Pac-man at E3 because he's the more iconic character. Sakurai has pointed out more than once that seeing Pac-man, Mario, Mega Man and Sonic in the same game is a true miracle, and I don't blame him. If Klonoa got reviled instead, 4Cha-I MEAN the Internet would have a huge temper tantrum on how a "furry" character got in over Pac-Man, just look what happened when Ashley got announced to be an assist trophy, and don't get me started on Lucario's re-announcement. That just adds to the secret character theory.
3) There's not going to be a 2nd Namco characters.
That's a tricky one. The only thing I have to debunk that statement is the .001 possibility that Namco gets a 2nd rep because of the co-development thing.
Here's my final point, we know what Little Mac from Punch-out!! is going to be a playable character in the game. Why do I bring this up? Each newcomer has a tagline for them in each of their traliers. Mega man had "joins the battle", Palutana had "alights", Villager had "comes to town." But little Mac's was "Punches in." Some people thought it was going to be "enters the ring." But why didn't they use "enters the ring?" THEY ARE SAVING IT FOR KLONOA.
For now, I'm going to enjoy my summer while I wait for the 3DS version comes out. We will know the entire roster by September 13th. Like I said more than once, the probability of this theory coming true is .001%.
Sincerely,
-YouDontKnowWhoIam
P.S. I meant to post this in a new thread because this one was pretty much done at the time, but Aura told me to move it here.
