Hideo Yoshizawa made these tweets earlier...
https://twitter.com/yoshi_clonoa/status/856869436820566017
This tweet has him saying something like "Hey guys, guess where I am?" (While traveling with a small Puchi plush from Mr. Driller btw) and then followed it up with this...
https://twitter.com/yoshi_clonoa/status/856870703068577792
Where he says "I visited the Kinki/Chugoku/Shikoku regions" saying it was a pleasant trip. But then says something like "Will this be put into the Klonoa movie?! ......... maybe."
What does it all mean...
I was looking back at old posts and saw this. Seeing as we got a glimpse at the supposed plot of the film (you know, this one: http://klonoa-at-blog.tumblr.com/post/168450276433/the-klonoa-film-page-on-imdbcom-now-shows-a before it was removed months later after being posted to imdb) being set in "the clockwork forest of Galdheim". I decided to look up photos of the regions he visited to investigate. His photos appear to be of the Shigoku region which is covered in forest and beautiful castles. (Galdheim was referred to as a kingdom with a ruler as well.) Photographs under spoiler:

Beautiful, no? Seems a dream-like place for Klonoa adventure. Yoshizawa's trip here lends some credence to the plot synopsis previously seen on imdb. Just trying to play detective as usual.  :embarassed:

Anybody got any guesses as to when in Q4 we'll get new info? I'm going to gues it'll be during the Tokyo International Film Festival, which is October 25th-November 3rd.

Sounds probable. I am hoping the news will be passed around via big websites like Variety again so word gets around better than a passing tweet or two could.

Something I thought seemed suspicious so I wrote up a post on Klonoa @ Blog asap.

QuoteHENSHIN's website has been recently updated removing all mention of their current projects and adding in a general "about us" statement. Their projects, including the Klonoa film, are still listed on IMDB Pro so there shouldn't be any reason to panic. They could be gearing up for a major site re haul if their last tweet about "updates on our projects coming in Q4″ is anything to go by. We'll keep you posted.

(On a perhaps minor note, trying to access their facebook page gives a "Sorry, this content isn't available right now. The link you followed may have expired, or the page may only be visible to an audience you're not in." error. It hadn't been updated since June 2017.)

The plot thickens and I grow more worried.  :(

QuoteOn the Klonoa film's IMDB Pro page, it used to list 5 people under the "filmmakers & crew" section but has been removed to only list Hitoshi Ariga as the writer. Because of this, Klonoa is no longer listed under Rob Pereyda's projects in development. We're waiting to see what these changes/removals mean.

Recall that it once said Rob Pereyda is producer, Hitoshi Ariga is writer/character designer/ and co-producer, Hideo Yoshizawa is executive producer, Ash Paulson is associate producer, and Samantha Stuart is script coordinator.

So Hitoshi Ariga isn't even listed anymore. The page is still there however.

So... What does this mean? They didn't the green light to officially start the movie?

mushroom32x

We really don't know what this all means until Henshin themselves makes a statement. Which they should soon if they want to clear up the confusion/panic these removals/changes are causing. They never stated that the project got greenlit, it's apparently been in the "script writing" phase of development since around June 29th, 2017 if the imdb page was anything to go by.

It even had a plot summary at one point but that too was never formally announced and was quietly removed some time ago.

A fan tweeted to Hitoshi Ariga their concerns about Klonoa disappearing from the HENSHIN website.
Since I cannot read Japanese and have to rely on machine translation I don't exactly know what to make of this other than... there is perhaps hope?
