Oh wow! The game is called Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and they're not kidding. EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER IN THE SERIES' HISTORY IS HERE, along with new and returning stages, new Final Smashes, and more. Bomberman is an assist trophy and 3 newcomers have been revealed.

Another thing to note: Knuckles is an assist trophy with no Shadow in sight. Could he be an Echo Fighter of Sonic? They do already have the model for him after all.

Ballot results wise, I thought Bayo won? Could be wrong, though.
I'm pretty excited, though! I honestly never expected Ridley to make it in. Krystal is an assist trophy too. (Ah well, at least Wolf is coming back)

But in general I had a very bad sensation when the Direct ended. Like this game was made just to have a Smash on Switch and a game to sell this year.

Also, not enough new things as far as characters and stages go, and I'm discarding they have plans to release DLC with characters and stages.

The game, however, looks REALLY good, and come on, it's Smash, it has to be good, so I'm very conflicted about this game overall.

For some reason, the art style just puts me off a little. I think I'm too used to the Wii U graphics, or maybe the new one's just too... bright?

It's the stage lighting. Some lighting looks great on characters, some make them look glossy-ish? I imagine they'll take the critique into account and fix it. A lot is still being worked on anyway.
