mumble mumble mumble Klonoa 3 isn't needed mumble mumble peaked at LV mumble mumble reached its full potential mumble mumble... Okay but in all seriousness the series in my opinion has absolutely NOT reached its full potential yet. The series definitely dipped after LV, but there's so much more that they could do with what they have, and stuff they were already planning to do but haven't been able to yet. Scrapped concept art painted an immaculate picture of high fantasy on the same level as the likes of Studio Ghibli. Cyberconnect2's Little Tail Bronx series already took inspiration from the works of Hayao Miyazaki, but judging from the beautiful pieces made for both DTP and LV, the series could have taken a much grander path than the kinda generic shonen aesthetic the later games decided on. I feel like in a perfect world, they could take parts of both and combine them to make something feel unabashedly "Klonoa".
I just hope that's the path they'll take. Maybe not so drastically different from what's already familiar with the series, as there's always been a cartoony edge to the series I wouldn't wanna give up, but I also wish they'll bring back the more ethereal elements of DTP at least.
Well now that Klonoa 3 is never coming out, I'll settle for a Klonoa movie in 2028 <:3
