Um, hello.
I know it might be shamelessly necro-bumping a post, but I feel like I have to ask something. I don't see if this is specified somewhere, but then again, probably it is and I just didn't search enough for it.

My question is, what is the "Dreamer Rating"? Is it good, is it bad? What does it do?

Rating is just what users of the server think of you and what you contribute to the forum. Higher rating means people like you favorably.

I would like to take the time to explain how we go about the system we have in place. It's rather simple and I feel it's rather lenient but on the same token gets the point across rather nicely For the most part, each member are given four chances.

The Points Tier
0% - This is where most of our members are at. No warnings. Let's keep it that way!
25%- The warning level here is when a mod or admin starts watching you. While it's a little intimidating, it's not really much to worry about, unless you break another rule.
50% - This is when things get ugly. When a member gets to 50%, that member is placed in a special member group. It's like Star Members, but the complete opposite. You lose some privileges, such as not being able to comment on profiles, shoutbox disabled,  unable to use drafts, unable to modify own profile, make polls, or upload attachments. Only admins can place a member in Cursed (at this moment.)
75% - If you haven't learned anything from being in Cursed, then things escalate even further--you are now muted. You cannot make any posts of any kind.
100% - Banned until further noticed. Only admins can ban per se, but mods can ban (if the level was at 75% or more already. Mods are only use 25% max for any member per day.)

Now, if you're Banned, you are banned for a certain amount of time and you're allowed to come back, but you will come back as Cursed and will stay in Cursed until the warning level drops.

If you're wondering if/when your warned how does the level drop? It's automatically set to deduct 1 pt every 24 hours. So if you're at 50%, it'll take 50 days for your level to drop down to 0%. This also means you're in Cursed until it's back to 0.

Now, there are EXCEPTIONS to the system.
You are immediately banned if you do the following:

  • Being a bot/spamming. (permanant ban.)
  • Completely provoking an admin (poking the hornet's nest.)
  • Posting NSFW material.
You will be placed in Cursed if you do any of the following:

  • Blatantly trolling or flaming other users
  • Repeated breaking the same rules over and over again within intervals (for example, get a warning for being advertising another forum, the warning expires, then do it again, wait for expire, ad nauseum).
If there is any question about how the system works, please feel free to ask an admin or mod and we'll try to clear it up for you.

sorry, i had tOo much fun writing this and hope you are entertained ._.

you don't need to be fearful here, guys. we gOt a pretty nice and friendly system tHat's pretty draconian lenient.

The Points of Dante's 5 Circles of Hell
0% - yOu are theoretically safe, but you must post every 24 hours or else the counter will begin to increase.
25%- The warning level here is when we throw you in the rancor pit. while the drooling countenance of the rancor might appear frightening, it shouldn't be more than just a teeny bit intimidating. it's nothing really to worry about on the off chance you happen to be a jedi. depending on how well you do at avoiding the rancor's gaping maw of rotted oblivion, we may pull up some front row seats and watch you battle for yOur life if your battle for survival pleases us. so really, if you don't get eaten, you'll be fine! however, if you break another rule, a shortened lifespan may be the least of your worries.
50% - This is when things get ugly. When a member gets to 50%, that member is placed in a special member group tHat we like to call the sarlacc pit. being tossed down here will make you plead for the rancor's jaws to have bitten your head off. inside the sarlacc pit, while you get digested in absolute agony for the next 1000 years, you lose some privileges, such as not being able to comment on profiles, shoutbox disabled, unable to use drafts, unable to modify own profile, make polls, or upload attachments. the reason you can't do these things is b/c the sarlacc pit is keeping you immobilized while simultaneously being kept alive in an unfathomably nightmarish onslaught of pain tHat uH...may hurt worse than eating all 30 peanuts from johnny scoville's tube of terror challenge, but it might not as sources haven't been confirmed. so, we're pretty lenient w/ uncertainties like this. anyway, only admins can place a member in the sarlacc pit (at this moment anyway...)
75% - if you haven't learned anything after having been brutally digested leniently for 1000 years, then things escalate even further--you now have no mouth, and you must scream. you cannot make any posts of any kind as our planet-sized computer system, AM, will constantly revive you after ripping your body to pieces, morphing you into indescribable globs of genetic pain and suffering, as AM will be capable of transfiguring and organizing your matter into anything. at a mod's request, AM will alter your genetic structure to turn you into a sarlacc pit in which you are folded inside out and your own sarlaccian stomach acids will slowly digest you for another 1000 years. at this point, AM will revive you and repeat the process 666 times. it is at this point tHat we would like to address tHat we were given the option 911 times by AM. we felt tHat this number obstructs the leniency of our system and agreed tHat the mark of the beast is the most appropriate number.
100% - you will be hit on tOp of the head w/ a newspaper.

now, if you're banned, chances are tHat you are dead, but it may only be for a certain amount of time. AM may decide to revive you in the sarlacc pit, and you stay in the beast's stomach chamber until the warning level drops. however, it is important tO understand tHat despite your inability to post, the warning level will still increase every 24 hours, thus cancelling out the decrease and suspending the counter.

remember, there are no exceptions to this system. have fun posting!  ;)
