Questklonoa

Speaking of Project X Zone 2, I did work on Klonoa and Gantz's attacks and skills. Here's the stuff.

-Klonoa and Gantz(Klonoa): The two Bounty Hunters of Namco X Capcom are back! The two characters do have a slight improvement from their Namco X Capcom incarnation, and Gantz this time doesn't ride on his sick Hoverbike. Gantz is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai, while Klonoa is voiced by Kumiko Watanabe. Pango also makes an appearance, albeit a solo unit.

The themes used for these characters are, Stepping Wind, and Gantz's Theme, both used in Namco X Capcom.
-No Direction(Wind Bullet & Twin Fire): Klonoa will go up into the enemy to shoot the Wind Bullet at the enemy(unfortunately, it doesn't inflate the enemy, due to fear for some issues like extended scripting, etc.), Klonoa then tosses the enemy over into the air into Gantz's direction. Gantz uses his twin pistols to gun down the enemy in the air, he then jumps into the air, and fires at the enemy, point-blank to shoot the enemy straight to the ground.

Up Direction(Beam Gnome and Bomb Launcher): Klonoa uses his Beam Gnome to charge towards his enemy to launch the enemy mid-air. As they're in mid-air, Gantz fires bombs at his enemy to continuously juggle the enemy. When the enemy falls to the ground, Gantz will use his Bomb Launchers point-blank. (Unlocked at lvl 5)

Left Direction(Heat-seeking rockets & Wind Blade): Gantz pulls out his heat seeking rocket launchers and fires at the enemy. As two shots is made from the rocket, Klonoa goes up to the enemy, slashes the enemy with his Wind Blade repeatingly, he then fires a Wind Bullet at the enemy and throws the enemy to Gantz. Gantz then fires his heat-seeking rocket launcher at the enemy point-blank.

Right Direction(Tornado Attack, Laser Gun, & The Red Clan): Klonoa performs his "Tornado Attack" while Gantz guns down his enemy with a laser gun. While Klonoa is still using Tornado Attack, Klonoa then pulls out his Beam Gnome to deal a bit more damage to his enemy, and Gantz drives in with his Motorbike, dubbed "The Red Clan" to fire at the enemy with the guns from the Red Clan, and rams the enemy to launch the enemy to the wall. The Hoverbike then drives off after the ramming.

Down Direction(Twin Fire, Wind Hammer & Arm Cannon): Gantz goes up to the enemy to throw them up into the air, then blasts his enemy with his twin guns. He then kicks the enemy towards Klonoa, which Klonoa will then pin the enemy down into the ground with his Wind Hammer. As the enemy is pinned down, Klonoa then fires a big spiked ball to his enemy with an arm cannon, launching the enemy to the wall. (Unlocked at lvl 10)

Ultimate Attack(Thunder Hurricane, Shinigami Rush and Charged Wind Bullet): Klonoa performs his signature Thunder Hurricane, while then Gantz then uses Shinigami Rush onto the enemy while the enemy is juggled by the Thunder Hurricane. After Klonoa finishes uses his Thunder Hurricane, he then fires a charged shot from his Wind Bullet combined with a single Shinigami Rush shot, dealing massive damage to the enemy.

Assist Attack(Boomerang, Laser Gun, Wind Bullet & Twin Fire): Klonoa will throw his boomerang to juggle the enemy in mid-air, Guntz then fires his Laser Gun to the mid-air enemy. As the enemy lands on the ground, Klonoa fires his Wind Bullet at the enemy, forcing it to Gantz. Gantz then will kick the enemy away to gun down his enemy with his Twin Guns. Like all assists, the attack deals minimal damage, but is useful for cross-attacks.

Skills:
-Chinese Noodles: Heals 20% of their HP. Costs 15 XP. Starts off with the skill.
-Blue attacks: Attacks deal 5% more damage. Costs 10 XP. Starts off with the skill.

-Pango(Klonoa): A character that's introduced alongside with Klonoa and Gantz, Pango is played as a Solo Unit instead. When sent into the area to attack the enemy, Pango throws bombs at the enemy. The enemy then gets launched into the air. As they're in the air, Pango then rolls into the enemy while exploding the enemy, launching the enemy towards the wall, but not before juggling his enemy with his grenades. Pango jumps out of the explosion safely, but covered in ashes and, humorously, also covered in bandages. He is automatically assigned to be a Solo Unit with Klonoa and Gantz by default. Pango is voiced by Syouzou Izuka.

Well, better late than never but I may as well give my impressions of the demo. Overall, I really liked what I played and this game definitely improves over the first one. The battles no longer take as long as they did in the first game and are much faster paced. While there aren't any major changes to the gameplay, there are still some new elements that makes it feel refined. For example, attacks you don't use will charge up after that character's turn. Performing a charged attack will allow you to deal more damage, gain more XP, etc. This, along with the Mirage Cancel (which allows you to slow down time by pressing B during an attack. This also cancels your current attack), adds depth to the combat and even allows for a bit of strategy, as it can allow you to decide if you want to use an attack, or save it for the next turn, when it's charged. I also like how Xiaomu's dialogue sometimes references other games, such as Tales of Symphonia ("Here Reiji, have some hot coffee. Fooled you! It's iced coffee. I LIED! IT'S HOT COFFEE!) and Star Fox ("This fox doesn't need a spaceship to be a star"). The only thing I didn't like was how they changed the Cross Hits. They are harder to pull off and they break super easily. Overall, really good and I can't wait for the full game.
