Okay guys without further ado, it's time to announce the contest winners. Now wait, you're probably wondering why there are 'winners' instead of one winner. Well, I liked the entries so much that I decided that I would award 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and consolation prize! 1st place will still get the $50 card, 2nd will get $25 card, 3rd will get $10 card and the consolation prize, well we'll see.
Anyway, let's do this!
Consolation prize winner: @Pikewin KC: Simple and clean. Nice textured sky. May want to vary the cloud shapes and add some color to the grass.
DS: Rather simple and cute. Does convey the theme rather well.
CM: Very simple, needs some work from perspective.
3rd place: @AlphaRed9X KC: Not bad. Perspective issues. I like the color and lighting. Sun in the front means shadows in the back.
DS: I love the angle. I love the competitiveness as opposed to the stuggle theme. It could have used more characters in this shot though.
CM: Very colorful. Needs some work on some action poses.
2nd place: @Artsy KC: I like the long panoramic and the "face off" that the characters seem to be having. Be aware of color value. If you choose two different colors with the same value, they'll get lost when placed on top of each other.
DS: I'm digging this picture quite a bit. Some color issues though I like the background's pastel look. Only problem is that it's not signifying a struggle between the two factions. The theme is versus.
CM: Nice but it feels a bit cluttered. But then again it's supposed to be a battle so yeah.
1st place: @mnstrmthd KC: Nice textured background. Good color choice and composition. There is enough contrast to distinguish each character. Well done.
DS: Definitely shows a struggle, heated battle. This pretty much sums up the theme.
CM: This is definitely my favorite one. It looks like everyone's marching off to a battle. So much detail!
