What is up with the shoutbox?

On my IPad the shoutbox loads non-stop to the point where I can't use it or even SEE other people's stuff on it. What's wrong with the thing?

I have no ipad to test but is it due to it refreshing periodically ?

I would say remove any cookies related to shoutbox I had to on mine because google chrome decided to not let me have the Wahoo! noise.

It also happens to me sometimes.
I suggest trying to refresh the page until the shoutbox works or using pop-up.
