Not necessarily. Despite most critics not liking the show, CN is still promoting it a lot. The show can either improve on its own or drops due to low ratings. I've seen some bad shows during my time and all but eh. It just seems like a lot of shows are following the strange random acid-trip format. I'm not a fan of it, but that's my opinion.

Honestly I feel Uncle Grandpa is just trying the shtick that made Ren & Stimpy popular. Insane humor that just made no sense for the sake of not making sense.

Only thing is, Ren & Stimpy at least had memorable dialogue to help with the randomness. After all who does remember Ren going "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T AGREE WITH ME? DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU'RE DEALING WITH?" Uncle Grandpa? I'm sorry but, I doubt "Good Morning" is going to develop into a catchphrase more than "Believe it" will.

Indeed. And I'm not saying this because I'm a 90's kid or that I think everything was better back then (trust me, we had some baaaad shows back then too) but Ren and Stimpy might have been surreal but it was animated very well at that.  Plus it had a plot at that. I just think that Uncle Granpa tries way too hard to be different but every other cartoon nowadays does the same flat surreal cliche that's been done over and over.
