Mordheim: City of the Damned
got it for $20 and it was cool at first. Once you figure out the AI, matches are easy. Really the time to worry is when the enemy equals or outnumbers you in an encounter. The AI is always geared and always has higher stats (to compensate for dumb AI). For the most part the player has roughly 3-4 rounds to setup a stragetic position before encountering the enemy AI and it's usually just enough time. Unfortunately once the attacks happen the fights turn into a number of units instead of actual positioning. The RNG seems off and to favor the AI but it's not as bad as people claim. Lastly leveling up and buying new units is long, expensive and hope to god they don't die lest you wish to buy a new level 0.
For me the game was different, it's the only turn based game I actually have except for Civ III which I haven't touched in forever. I'm not disappointed I spent $20 but I wonder how many more hours I'm actually going to play. There are 4 available warbands and I chose the Skaven...and don't feel compelled in the slightest to play the others.
