Many people hated on this new reveal (even if it's nothing new by now) but to me this reveal was something hysteric, I mean now we have Terry Bogard, Joker, Banjo Kazooie, freakin' Sans Mii costume and Steve from Minecraft in the same game? I love it! I'll be honest it's not really what I wanted and I've stopped playing Smash a while ago but to me it's gonna be hard to top this reveal just by how kinda absurd it is and in the end it seems that it's gonna bring something new to the table and that is what a new character should do.
So yea, while it is true that many wanted something else, I'm pretty positive that this is gonna be a good one
