This wouldn't be a problem if this game got an English release instead of the beach volleyball game. Good job on that Namco! Nah, I'd just stop worrying about it if I were you. I really like Klonoa Heroes myself, well, at least from the limited experience of an unfinished fan translation with a GameFaqs guide, but I still don't think it's SUCH an exceptional game that everyone needs to drop everything they're doing to play. And you never know, maybe an official translation will happen someday. It sounds unreasonable, but crazier things have happened.
If a fan translation really is something that one really cares about and really wants to work on (really), than I'd go for it. I've never attempted to translate anything, and I wasn't exactly in the community at all while this was first getting started, so I don't want to assume for a second that I understand the workload of translating a game, but I think it's fairly safe to say that it takes a lot out of anyone to hack the game and fully translate menus, UI, effects with text, and obviously dialogue. I just bring this up to say that we probably shouldn't make too big of a deal out of it. I'm sorry if this comes across as being overtly against the idea of a full English patch, because I'm not. I really just don't want to see another small team band together to spend months on a big project like this.
