When younger, in the 2000s you used to play Lunatea's Veil with analog sticks or D-pad?

I've never played L'sV, but in other 2D games where you can use either, I always use the D-Pad.

When I first played I used the analog but I didn't like how it felt so I used the D-pad for the rest of my playthrough.

I used the D-Pad for the original, used the analog for the Phantasy Reverie remake
