Oh I've tried many ways to get some filtering in but anything that filters the sprites to much just ruins it all. And I can't seem to force Anisotropic flitering for anything I've yet to find a way to do it in ps1 emulators anyways.
Multi sampling with sparse grid super sampling can help a little as can straight up just using super sampling.
I would use normal msaa with normal transparency super sampling but it causes some textures to get slightly misaligned.
The votes lean towards Widescreen 16:9 useing a Widescreen hack in the emulator today yay because I was going insane trying to decide if I liked it in the original aspect ratio vs the widescreen hack. It's also a more of a challenge in that mode
because you have to recalculate your distances from the enemies and objects a little differently.
