I just found out on IGN's Daily Fix on YouTube, that Sony is interested in bringing back the Crash and Spyro franchises. Also, I figured that maybe we could talk about the proposed original concept for Skylanders: Spyro's adventure called Spyro's Kingdom. Originally there was an online adaptation of the Legend of Spyro trilogy by Helios interactive , but it was rejected by Activison. When Toys for Bob became the developer of the game, Activision wanted Spyro's Kingdom to be a much darker game aimed at a mature audience (concept art of which I've attached) that would've included humans and blood, but TFB lost their enthusiasm, saying this didn't "feel" like Spyro. WIth the time and budget, they came up with Skylanders. This topic will mostly be talking about the cancelled mature game and any theories you may have about it.
EDIT: Turns out the art I've attached was actually fanart that people mistook as official art (and you can tell why just by looking at it).

I'm rather happy that Skylanders happened and not Spryo's Kingdom.

Activision doesn't seem to get what made the original Spyro so great. I mean, yeah he's doing well in Skylanders, but really he's not a main character per se. He shares the spotlight with a LOT of other characters.

Can I has OG trilogy in HD plx?

Those attachments you posted, Windbullet, aren't exactly from Spyro's Kingdom. They're simply fanart, that fans mistook as official models or concept art.

Yeaahhh, those images you posted are actually fanart. But don't feel embarassed though, other fans thought the same back then when those fanart was discovered back in 2010.
