News: There are several cat-like creatures in series, but one is the best. (Tat, obviously.)

Is it weird that when I first played Door to Phantomile, I thought Klonoa's ears were his hands? X3 I never noticed his yellow hands until later on lol

Haha, that's funny. xD Sometimes I like to think Klonoa can pick things up with them.

As someone who has a college degree founded on anatomy I always thought it weird to picture Klonoa as an evolved creature with ears as long as they are. The ears do not seem to serve a purpose that would warrant a continued need for long ears (except for 2 possibilities). Pulling away from anatomy and viewing from a gamer perspective the ears are a nice feature to character design. After reading the manga the evolutionary problem ceased...sort of...but using ears as his arms just didn't make sense. To lift things up at such a distance, precision and weight he'd need to have an extremely strong neck and spine unless he's an invertebrate like an octopus.

Anyway, I view Klonoa using his ears as arms similar to fanon. It just doesn't make enough sense and would have been in the video games if it were true. Ya he flaps his ears for temporary 'flight' but he at least has done that in all his games.

The video when the game starts is pretty clear... Klonoa is pulling a huge ring buried on the ground that fell from the sky. He pulls the ring with his gloved hands as he struggles. The ring contains Huepow. You must have skipped the video when you played the game.

No I didn't skip. I likely didn't pay attention too much to the yellow hands.

Good to see I always thought those were ears and nothing else. :3

The puffs on the ends of his ears remind me of fluffy white clouds. It just adds to his charm.  ;)
