Even though, You don't need Bandai Namco's permission to make a fangame, BUT YOU HAVE TO credit them, more like Touhou fangames.

SEGA is different than Namco, SEGA always want permission to everygame (Sonic series are bad nowadays for me, though.), but Namco are normal, as long you don't profit from it.

It seems forum members are on the ball when it comes to fan projects. We've got, in the works, a fan film, a flash movie, two fangames, an English patch for Klonoa Heroes, and my YouTube series Klonoa: Corruption. That makes 6 fan projects in the works.
