I submitted a few pieces (and comments as well) to the magazine yesterday! As per the rules, since I've already submitted them, I can now post them online! I'm only posting one of the drawings I submitted, though, because I'm really proud of the other one and want to save it until the magazine comes out.

This one I made for the "one marker challenge", using only the Touch #PB75 marker, a colorless blender, and a white Gellyroll pen.

Jil so sassy.

You're so good with traditional art. Seriously that looks amazing.

At this point I'm looking back and wondering what your general process is and how you make lines so clean.

I might actually try to upload an HD speed draw someday, but I lack a good enough camera. I mean the one I have is decent, but just looking at my speed paints on YouTube show just how little the camera captures.

I will give you this, though, I really hate making ink lineart. I don't have a lot of patience and I'm always deathly afraid of screwing up in pen, so I've trained myself to make the cleanest sketches possible so I normally never need to use pen. Not to mention, I rarely use any "base shapes". Literally the only thing I use is a circle for the head to determine how big the sketch is going to be. Everything else is completely free-form, I just draw. Sometimes I really wish I knew how to or was capable of going about the whole process, like, basic shapes to sketch to pen, because it feels like by omitting steps I'm doing things wrong and therefore aren't good enough...

How about this, I'll test my phone camera, and how well it captures sketching, and if people are interested, I'll do minute sketches on Instagram (requests, too) so people can see my process, how does that sound...?

EDIT: my instagram is https://www.instagram.com/tsundere.woof/ if you want to see some of my other, non-klonoa art as well as stupid photos of my life

I fell behind but god I love your art, haha. Those designs for the kids are really!! Frickin' cute!!
And I'm not as big into Homestuck as I used to be, but it's still got a special place in my heart and approaching God Tiers as a character analysis thing is something I love.

Also that is the prettiest Jillius I have ever seen. Kinda reignites my old fondness for him. I can't wait to see what else you submitted to the magazine!
I gotta get my butt moving on my entries oh god aw jeez aw man

So guess who got bored in class today with only one micron pen at their disposal!!!! Seriously I forgot to bring a pencil to school today!!!!  :angry2: :angry2: :angry2:

But I got to scribble around in ink so idk I had a little fun

Okay yes it is time to crucify me as I have drawn Klonoa dressed as a freaking troll and a troll dressed as Klonoa (...and Guntz). Don't judge me this movie was great. also the character in the bottom left is an OC. Finally we have Lolo as Amneris from the musical Aida. Poor Lolo, she makes such a good Amneris, they both just need some confidence...

EDIT: she is singing the opening of the song "Fortune Favors the Brave", but for whatever reason, this opening is always considered bh fans to be the end of the previous song (Every Story is a Love Story), but I have the sheet music, this is indeed Fortune Favors the Brave she's singing.

Also, unfortunately, October was very busy for me so it was hard to submit anything to the magazine... but now I've got all my submissions done, so here's one as a kind of sneek preview

It is the moo from the Manga!

Artsy

Okay, okay. It appears I have not yet learned my lesson and once again forgot a pencil. When that happens, I almost always default to Klonoa because it's the easiest thing for me to draw without erasing anything (though it's very clearly not without any error. I was considering editing this in photoshop to clear up the blemishes, eh, but I suppose there's something more genuine about a raw sketch....)

Today's dilema: How To Properly Illustrate the Exclaimation "iiMI CORAZON!!" (an overly dramatic, Spanish exclaimation of deep emotional pain. Basically, the only english equal I can think of is "MY FEELS!!" but it's a much more common term in Spanish)

iiMI CORAZON!!

Something tells me Guntz really didn't want to see the look on his face

Voka~Daemyn

Hmm made me wonder if Guntz has a slight bias towards being cynical except he's not truly happy that way.
Poor Klonoa :(

That is ... delightfully relevant.

Especially the second panel which I love.

Some vent art. I've been feeling Not Very GoodTM lately...

Drawing helps...

I won't ask, but whatever the problem might be, I hope it gets better. :(
