We could always have the gallery be composed of all the fan-art that's been posted onto here by our forum-goers in their own art topics. Something like ka's Artbook, albeit a bit more centralized around this forum's art. And trust me, there's a lot of it.

(Actually, now that I think about it, weren't you already trying to gather artwork from users for a main-site gallery almost a year ago? Because it could be something like that.)

imo adding a gallery sounds like never-ending work. There are a handful of other websites that specialize in presenting art. I do not think spending the effort to keep the gallery updated is worthwhile for a forum. The gallery page can list user links to gallery pages like deviantart or tumbler but this is a forum; if people wish to individually promote their own works there's a forum section for that.

As much as I want a gallery, I have to agree with Confuted on the 'Too much extra work' side of things. Maybe instead we could have an external gallery somewhat like Vinebooru? Then again, that would be more work and costly hosting space, although that kind of site tends to run itself.

Eh, that's just my two cents. Or whatever phrase works there.
