I'm planning to download the Klonoa part of the SL forum.
Um, I don't really know what am I doing, just thinking someday the archived posts might be useful.

Saved! Made some mistakes though.

Announcement says forums close on 20 Mar 2014. (JST) But it's already 21 Mar 2014 and forums are still there.

This does sadden me to know the one thing keeping Klonoa alive is shutting down. The little guy just never seems to catch a break.

and I was hoping SO much that since Bandai Namco are working on the new Super Smash Bros. he'd have another shot of getting into a videogame.

If shifty look does completely shut down I'm going to feel really depressed.

About SSB4, Namco already said it's all Nintendo's decisions. If Klonoa gets in, it will be thanks to Nintendo.

Actually according to the leaked discussion Sakurai plans on putting Pac-Man as Namco's representative for the game.

Actually, I don't really want Klonoa gets in SSB4. He didn't have many fan outside Japan.
And short-lived official comics seemed didn't boost his popularity too much. Nintendo might have a hard time to make him fit in the game.
Of course, I'd like to see him makes a guest/cameo appearance.

And that didn't apply to Marth and Roy when Melee was released?

Klonoa would easily fit into Smash Bros. He's got so much potential for a moveset that isn't uninspired like Sonic's (or Pac-Man's if he gets in, because we all know it'll be boring), and he's got the looks and personality as well, which would meld perfectly into the Smash Bros. universe.

But we all know it's going to be that complete has-been Pac-Man who gets in instead. It makes me so upset. >

Well, Marth and Roy are both Nintendo's, and they can do whatever they want to their own characters. Plus Marth and Roy got a game on Wii, it's OK for them joining the SSB series.

Remember NamcoXCapcom? Klonoa's moveset is inspired by "Klonoa Heroes", a game which wasn't released outside Japan. If Klonoa have a moveset similar to NXC in SSB4, that would be strange to western gamers. In the other games, like the latest game - DtP remake, Klonoa's relatively powerless and relies on Hwepoe/Lolo, and how could a "non-combatant" be fit in SSB4?

PAC-MAN's appearance doesn't make me interested, too. I think he's more suitable for other games, like Mario Kart (And he's already playable in the arcade version). However, what Klonoa really needs now is a new game, or porting/remaking. And we have to finish some fan projects first, so we can gather more people to help us.

BTW, does anyone knows what's new in SSB4? Will it be enough to promote the sale of Wii U? I guess the SSB4 team won't get budget cut for the game will be also released on 2/3DS.

One more thing: Did Klonoa used the power given by king of sorrow in Dream Traveller of Noctis Sol?
