Yes, your ideas are great! It can be even better if more Klonoa gets more "wind elements"!
Klonoa's Japanese title can be literally translated as "Klonoa of the wind", and "wind" is something can make him different from the other characters.
Plus Klonoa can use his big ears to taunt his opponents, or use the hoverboard to do some tricks.

Klonoa has the whirlwind stun in the remake (in the North American version) that slows down enemies, actually.

I also think the remake is inferior, except for final part of the ending, because Huepow/Hewpoe doesn't smile.

Rumor had it that the remaking of DtP was on a low budget. And they treated SL as something never happened, like they didn't care wasting money.

This does sadden me to know the one thing keeping Klonoa alive is shutting down. The little guy just never seems to catch a break.

and I was hoping SO much that since Bandai Namco are working on the new Super Smash Bros. he'd have another shot of getting into a videogame.

If shifty look does completely shut down I'm going to feel really depressed.

About SSB4, Namco already said it's all Nintendo's decisions. If Klonoa gets in, it will be thanks to Nintendo.

Actually according to the leaked discussion Sakurai plans on putting Pac-Man as Namco's representative for the game.
