I had a two friends who mained Wario in Brawl. The motorcycle can be so frustrating to deal with...that's when I learned to just knock them off and keep them from re-mounting it. His move-sets are quite funny though for me the humor gets old (as intended I'm sure).

I haven't even bothered to unlock the Pac-Land map.... I actually don't even remember how. I still need to find out if the Random Stage toggle feature is back...I need to unlock that at least.

My bro and I have been playing Smash4 off and on lately; passing time usually. I still call Duck Hunt my main but my bro is not keen on my ability to connect the Specials...particularly the reverse throw into connection with the can. I've picked up Yoshi as an off-main. I found I had more success with Yoshi's aerial attacks in Brawl but a little practice wouldn't hurt.

I'm interested to see videos of a Smash4 tournament...usually those vidoes show me that I'm playing the game or character wrong though generally it's the use of minor exploits of mechanics that I don't competitively care to use

Well, if you're in any mood to unlock that stage, you'll have to play each of the different maps of Smash Tour. Playing them with the lowest amount of turns is reccomended.

Fitting, that the worst map be unlocked by playing the worst mode...But seriously, you can defend it as much as you want, Smash Tour is an unfun, COMPLETELY RANDOMIZED, absolutely nonsensical...THING, that is more of a chore than it is "fun." At least Mario Party makes SOME sense when I play it.

...And I think the random stage toggle's back. Though, you probably need to unlock all of the stages for it, as per usual.

Yeah, I don't like Smash Tour myself. While I didn't find it confusing, it was tedious at best.

The Wii U version may be an overall better game than the 3DS version, but the latter had a better mode in Smash Tour's place, Smash Run. Sure, that one had a ton of enemies spawn and hit you more frequently than not, but I thought it was fun, warts and all. Maybe it's to do with the fact that it's the closest thing to an Adventure Mode in either version. Smash Tour is just boring.

I'd even go as far as to use that hammer when a space in the challenges said "Smash Tour" on them simply because I really don't want to go back to that mode!

That said, I'll state the things I like about the Wii U version. The graphics are improved, obviously, and there is a bit more variety in this release. The 3DS version is good, but it pales in comparison to the Wii U release.

The levels are better. Even the levels shared on both versions have a bit more in the Wii U version, like Guar Plains with more platforms and Metal Face appearing, and the Boxing Ring having the aliases for each character, though Wario's isn't so great (he's not all about farting. In fact, it barely factors into his own games, if at all).

Also, Kongo Jungle 64 returns. I've been playing Smash since the N64 days, so this was really nice to see.

The content here is greater than in the 3DS version, and seeing as how the 3DS version already had plenty of replay value, I think it's safe to say that you'll take more than just three months to unlock most of the content.

The roster is the same, and the gameplay is the same, so your skill level will carry over from each version. Good for those who don't want to have to relearn stuff.

All in all, if you have a Wii U, get this game! if you don't, get one as soon as you can to play it!

Unless Karate Joe or whoever was gonna be taking the Rhythm Heaven slot, it looks like that Chorus Kids (Although I bet it was just Marshal by himself) was actually supposed to be in Smash and the Gematsu guy was probably just leaking an outdated list. Personally I would have loved to see Chorus Kids/Marshal playable but I can't see the chance of DLC beyond Mewtwo happening until Sakurai leaves Smash.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you.
As long as you remember her, you are not alone.

while watching a live streamed tournament of 800 contestants over the weekend I did see the Random Stage toggle menu. I have since played Smash Tour to unlock PacLand which subsequently unlocked the map toggle.

I must say imo, Tour mode is boring and rather unstructured; there's really no way to know or plan a strategy. Normal smash fights are really the only things you can look forward to but the stat bonuses and high item drop rates make fighting a joke...especially when the characters given seem to be random...so unless you know every character playstyle you're going to have a bad time.

Anyways back to the livestream tournament. From what I saw with the Smash4 stream, there isn't much difference between the people I usually play with and pros...pros however use more tilts, fast fall and know their hitbox frames whereas I do not. I did learn some things by watching some Duck Hunt action but not much. For the most part S4 seems pretty balanced though for entertainment value the stream was a tad frustrating because it was the same 5ish characters most of the time. Diddy again being the top tier with Fox seeming to have been nerfed...Sheik as always near the top, Luigi...and more Diddy...some Yoshi.

Melee was also being streamed....as always...ridiculous reflexes, I couldn't compete at that level if my life depended on it

Just a heads up for you guys:

http://www.gonintendo.com/s/251152-smash-bros-wii-u-mewtwo-and-10-man-smash-causing-glitch-that-blocks-players-from-online-play

If you end up finishing 10-Man Smash with Mewtwo after completing it with all other characters, this may cause a slight save data corruption that can prevent you from going online.

Sort of a situational thing, but I'm just posting this here in the hopes of preventing this from happening to anybody here.

Also, this only affects the Wii U version.

Mewtwo doesn't seem so bad. At least in the 3DS release, and when I fought him as Wario in the Wii U version.

Then again, apparently the bugs were fixed.

He isn't. I've seen so many Mewtwo vs Lucario matches it's not joke. I hopped into the middle of one with Yoshi and started throw eggs at both of them. Twas fun.
