Hmm... Well, my favorite games are Sonic, Solatorobo, Pokémon, and Pop'N Music (It's a japanese rhythm game, and oh boy, it's hard.) .

Smash Melee
Dark Souls
Demon's Souls
Alundra
Skullgirls
Devil May Cry 3

I like hard games. Difficulty's the only thing I felt Klonoa games were lacking in.
Hard games eh? What about Super Meat Boy? Or VVVVV? Or I Want To Be The Guy? I love some hard games too, especially crazy platformers.
No no no, you got it all wrong. You want a hard game? Persona or any of the other Shin Megami Tensei games will do you just fine. Even DemiKids for the GBA (Which is actually a spin-off of the latter), despite the more kid friendly nature, is STILL insanely difficult. I should also point out all three are by the same publisher; Atlus, you may have heard of them from other places as well. I assure you, you'll try SO much to rage quit but if you played it for long enough times you'll be too hooked to do so.
Oh, I'm familar with MegaTen and the Persona spinoffs. I'm definitely familiar with Atlus.

Well, I'm rather obsessively playing Crash Bandicoot 2/3. Those games are absolutely amazing and a lot of fun. I never grew up with them and have in fact only had them since Christmas, but they've been some of the best platformers I've ever played (never to the Klonoa games, of course. :D )

Other games include the Ace Attorney franchise, Sonic Adventure 1/2, Fire Emblem 7/Awakening, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Pokemon, Super Mario games, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Cave Story, Team Fortress 2 (even if I can't play it right now)... there are many great games I love to play. More than this, I'm just lazy.  :(

SurrealBrain

I enjoy Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, EarthBound, and a ton of others. I've been playing Wind Waker HD as of late.

Thanks to FRAYKER for the signature! :)

Atri

Final Fantasies X through XII
Dark Souls I and II
Borderlands series
Call of Duty series (for real, if you know how players think, you can do some silly things)
Dark Cloud I and II

I've played an absolute crapton of games and even thinking about it is making me a bit dizzy. Most any game that influenced my artistic or musical tastes (yes CoD counts) goes on this list. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot but I always remember them when I see something I like.

It's kind of ironic, at first I only played FPS nonstop, never touched a platformer. When the fps genre stopped producing the quality of singleplayer games they did back in the day, that's when I got more interested in other genres. Funnily enough, Sonic caught my eye via the plethora of YouTube Poops I used to watch.

  • F.E.A.R. series
  • Half-Life series
  • System Shock 2
  • Deus Ex
  • Quake 2 and 4
  • Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge
  • Silent Hill 2
  • Sonic MegaDrive games
  • Sonic Colors and Generations
  • Ty the Tasmanian Tiger
  • Ratchet and Clank series
